Cemberlitas Column
The monumental column of Çemberlitaş, which many local and foreign people pass by every day, has been in existence for approximately 1700 years on one of the seven hills of the Historical Peninsula in Istanbul
Sahaflar Carsisi
Sahaflar Çarşısı, Beyazıt Sahaflar Çarşısı or İstanbul Sahaflar Çarşısı is a historical bazaar located in Fatih where old and new books are sold. It used to be a cultural center due to its proximity to Beyazıt Mosque and Social Complex, Istanbul University, Grand Bazaar and Beyazıt State Library. Even though the priorities and qualities of the second-hand booksellers and the books sold have changed over time, it is still one of the places Fatih is frequented.
Kapalicarsi
The Grand Bazaar is spread over an area of 110 thousand 868 m2, has 45 thousand m2 of indoor space, 3600 shops and 14 caravanserais on 65 streets. Although most of them have changed today, it is possible to understand what was done and sold there in the past from the names of the streets and caravanserais.
Hipodrom
The open-air stadium from the Byzantine period is today adjacent to the Sultanahmet Mosque. The arena where the emperor watched the matches from his private lodge, Kathisma, was the scene of passionate fan cheers as well as rebellions that changed the course of history. This is a story that is nearly 2000 years old. History was written in this square that first witnessed the excitement of the races and then the horror of executions.
Sultanahmet Camisi
While it contains some Byzantine influences from its neighbor, the Hagia Sophia, it also features traditional Islamic architecture and is considered the last great mosque of the classical period. The mosque's architect, Mimar Sedefkar Mehmet Ağa, succeeded in reflecting his ideas of "grandeur, grandeur and magnificence in size".
Ayasofya
It is the oldest cathedral in the world. It held the title of the largest cathedral in the world for nearly a thousand years from the time it was built (until the construction of the Seville Cathedral in Spain was completed in 1520). Today, it ranks fourth in terms of surface area. It is the fastest cathedral built in the world (in 5 years).
